Starting on 15 July, GR8 Leisure Concepts is supporting a fundraising campaign seeking donations of minimum HK$20 from each patron to help Friends of Panda Mountain save and restore habitat for wild pandas in the Wolong Nature Reserve, China’sleading home for Giant Pandas.

Friends encourages Hong Kong residents and travelers to visit one of GR8 hotels, restaurants, or bar outlets this summer and join the campaign to help the pandas and people of Wolong

Starting in 2012, Panda Mountain and GR8 Leisure Concepts teamed together to help register "Friends of Panda Mountain," a new Hong Kong charity to support the pandas and people of the Wolong Nature Reserve. Friends of Panda Mountain’s top priority is to engage people to conserve and restore giant panda habitat in Wolong — focusing on habitat is the most critical step to save wild pandas.         

                                                                                          

Friends of Panda Mountain’s top priority is to engage people to conserve and restore giant panda habitat in Wolong — focusing on habitat is the most critical step to save wild pandas. Teaming together, Friends and GR8 will work to in a highly complementary manner to engage Wolong’s mountain villagers and Wolong visitors who are committed to panda conservation. Friends uses the most advanced and best international conservation practices to train and employ Wolong villagers to grow native plants and trees that will be transplanted to restore degraded and fragmented panda habitat.   GR8 Leisure Concepts and GR8’s Hong Kong hospitality brands (hotels and food & beverage outlets) are generously working to encourage people to learn more, visit Wolong, and support the restoration of panda habitat.
